About the position:

Chairman’s Club is the Gwinnett Chamber’s top-tier membership level. More than 250 organizations choose to be part of this exclusive group.

As Chairman’s Club Manager, you will drive the portfolio of offerings as well as maintain important relationships. You will be THE person who makes sure that these key constituents are finding value in their investment.

So, what does that mean exactly? Here are some ways you will make that happen.

Assimilation and onboarding.

Making sure new Chairman’s Club members get plugged in properly is imperative to our success. You will work collaboratively with our membership team to ensure that this happens.

Concierge-level service.

We aim to be the Chick-fil-A of the Chamber world. As mentioned, you will be THE person serving this top-tier investment level and we expect you to do it with a smile.

Create best-in-class programs and events.

Engagement = retention. Our programs and events provide ways for members to engage. This includes ALL the details from beginning to end, including content creation, coordinating the logistics, managing onsite execution and tracking effectiveness.

Selling sponsorships.

We are able to provide best-in-class events because of the financial backing our partners provide. You will be charged with aligning sponsors with programs that provide optimum exposure.

Manage creative.

There are several collateral pieces that are a part of this membership level, including advertisements, a directory, emails, social media campaigns, websites—you get the gist.

Cultivate relationships.

We are in the people business. It is imperative that you can develop and maintain relationships.

Communication is key.

In person, by email, by letter, on the phone, verbally and non-verbally—you will need stellar communication skills to be successful in this role.

Strategies and such.

We don’t believe in throwing something at a wall to see if it sticks. As a relatively small organization, time is one of our most valuable resources. To be effective, you will need to develop strategies around everything you do, especially retention efforts.

The devils in the details.

In addition to being a big picture strategic thinker, you also must be detail oriented.

The ideal candidate:

  • This is a new position and duties may evolve. The person who assumes this role must be flexible.
  • One minute you could be schlepping drinks for an event, the next minute you could be speaking with the Governor’s office. The ideal candidate must have both the aptitude and the attitude to get things done.
  • This is a very fast-paced place to work. You must be high energy when appropriate.
  • A self-starter who is able to think creatively and critically.
  • Teamwork makes the dream work. Must be able to work well with others.
  • Be a decent person. Culture is very important to us.
  • Experience in event management, hospitality or sales would be a plus.
