What We Need: Seeking a full-time, skilled graphic designer with photography and videography capabilities as well as basic audio-visual equipment knowledge to support Chamber programs and events.
What You’ll Do: This position will report to the Creative Director and serve as the A/V lead for event services in the organization.
- Graphic design: ability to work on Mac OS in Adobe’s creative suite of products—primarily Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator—supporting the creative director in design, editing and production of visual graphics.
- Video production: working knowledge of After Effects, as well as how to capture video/b-roll at our events with the latest iPhone tech and our in-house Gimble equipment.
- Basic photography: storytelling through pictures and video, understanding of lighting and composition.
- A/V event services support: the transport to & from, set-up, tear-down, support-for, and troubleshooting of our in-house A/V equipment to include portable sound system, projector & presentation screen; Chamber vehicle can be used for transport.
- Other duties as assigned: administrative support and back-up to the creative director
This position, as with all positions at the Gwinnett Chamber, will be asked, on occasion, to help and support other departments as needs arise.
The Essentials:
- Certificate, training – OR – experience in graphic design, photography, and video editing
- Solid understanding of graphic design principles (composition, color, typography, layout, proportionality, etc.)
- Basic understanding of photography and video production (creative capture, simple editing, simple titles & motion graphics, etc.)
- Proficiency in Adobe software (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premier Pro, After Effects)
- Familiar with WordPress or other similar CMS platform
- Keen attention to detail
- Technical proficiency in Mac computing
- Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
- Versatile and natural relationship-building skills to support internal teams varying in styles, preferences, and needs from the marketing communications department
- Must be able to lift, load, and haul basic portable A/V equipment to and from events
