Business leaders hear from Board of Commissioners Districts 2 & 4 candidates
The Gwinnett Chamber resumed its biennial Candidates Forum series ahead of the 2026 General Primary and Nonpartisan Election. Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners Districts 2 and 4 will be on the ballot this year. All five candidates running for either seat participated, sharing their ideas to the policies shaping Gwinnett’s economic future. Candidates answered questions about development, infrastructure, and economic development.
The forum underscored the critical role of leadership, community partnership, and forward-thinking policy in supporting a thriving business environment in Gwinnett.
District 2 incumbent Ben Ku will face Lilburn business owner Rodolfo Ochoa in the November general election. District 4 incumbent Matthew Holtkamp will face republican challenger Arefeen Chowdury in the May primary. Democrat Benjamin Culberson, community organizer and student leader at Georgia Gwinnett College, will face either Holtkamp or Chowdury in November.
District 2 includes Lilburn and unincorporated portions of Lawrenceville, Norcross, and Snellville. District 4 includes the cities of Buford, Mulberry, Sugar Hill, Braselton, Rest Haven, Auburn, and parts of Dacula, Suwanee, and Lawrenceville.
