As we reflect on the solid performance of the Gwinnett Chamber in Q2 2024, I am proud to share the continued success and engagement we are experiencing within our community. Our momentum is evident, with over 22 members already signed up for the upcoming EMBARK trip to Argentina and Brazil. This exclusive travel experience, offered only to our Chairman’s Club members, underscores the unique opportunities that our organization provides to cultivate a thriving and connected business community.
In this issue of “The Executive,” we turn our focus to celebrating women in leadership. From welcoming our new board member Audra Cunningham with T. Dallas Smith & Co. to honoring Moxie Award finalists and leading members in the community, we delve into the remarkable stories of these women who have made significant contributions to the business world.
Women-owned businesses are a vital part of our economy, representing nearly 40% of all businesses in the United States according to a recent article in Forbes Magazine. With over 14 million women-owned small businesses generating $2.7 trillion in annual revenue and employing almost 12.2 million people, their impact is profound. The Gwinnett Chamber values women leaders and the positive influence they have on our community and economy.
As we approach our annual Moxie Awards program on August 30, we are reminded of the importance of recognizing and celebrating the achievements of women in business. Their success stories inspire us all and reinforce our commitment to fostering an inclusive and dynamic business environment.
Thank you for your continued support and engagement with the Gwinnett Chamber. Together, we are driving growth and making a lasting impact.
Sincerely,
Nick Masino
