Organizations partner to connect and amplify resources offered to business and industry

Gwinnett County (METRO ATLANTA) GA – Oct. 13, 2022 – The Gwinnett Chamber, Partnership Gwinnett and the Latin American Chamber of Commerce Georgia (LACCG) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) this week during an official ceremony at the monthly Gwinnett Chamber Board of Directors meeting. The MOU recognized the intent of these organizations to collaborate, champion and drive global business in both the region and abroad.

“The Gwinnett Chamber recognizes the significant economic impact that the Latino business community has in Gwinnett,” said Jill Edwards, 2022 chair of the Gwinnett Chamber Board of Directors. “We are proud to partner with them in providing connection and service to each other’s members and look forward building on the inclusive and dynamic foundation laid with the signing of this agreement.”

The LACCG fosters success through economic development initiatives that facilitate the creation and development of business ventures; build relationships between Hispanic and non-Hispanic businesses, associations, individuals, and government; and create new business opportunities between Latin America and the Southeast.

“The LACCG is proud to partner with the Gwinnett Chamber and Partnership Gwinnett, representing business and industry for one of the most vibrant and fastest growing counties in Georgia,” shared Alejandro Coss, president of the LACCG. “Gwinnett is home to the largest Latino population in the state and to thousands of Latino-owned businesses. This new alliance will allow us to build new connections and bring additional resources to benefit the members of both organizations.”

LACCG President Alejandro Coss, 2022 Board Chair Enrique Perez and Consul Generals from the Latin American region participated in the MOU ceremony. Gwinnett Chamber officials included President and CEO Nick Masino, 2022 Board Chair Jill Edwards with United Community Bank and Partnership Gwinnett Vice President Andrew Carnes.

“Working collaboratively with organizations such as the LACCG fuels Gwinnett County’s ability to retain and expand a global network of companies,” Carnes added. “We are grateful to work with these organizations who help us drive economic prosperity in our community.”
