Event hosts 900+ attendees, Recognizes outstanding contributions to the community
GWINNETT, GA – February 7, 2025 – The Gwinnett Chamber gathered at the Gas South District on February 7 for its 77th Annual Dinner, an evening dedicated to celebrating remarkable achievements and honoring individuals pivotal to the prosperity of Gwinnett.
Presented by Northside Hospital, the event was a testament to the Chamber’s exceptional year, marked by the grand reopening of its renovated office space, record achievements in member recruitment and retention, and high-volume attendance to its numerous programs throughout the year. Distinguished guests, including more than 900 business and community leaders, came together to recognize several individuals and organizations. Among the honorees were:
Dr. Mary Kay Murphy was acclaimed as the Citizen of the Year for her long-standing dedication and service to Gwinnett and the Metro Atlanta region.
Junior Achievement of Georgia received the esteemed D. Scott Hudgens Humanitarian Award in recognition of their impactful efforts to help those in need.
Heraeus Quartz N.A. was honored with the James J. Maran International Award, acknowledging their significant contributions on the global stage.
Recipients of the Public Service Awards (5) Salmaan “Sal” Ajani (Amazing Energy Solutions, LLC), Joe Allen (Gwinnett Place Community Improvement District), Jennifer Fennell (Jackson EMC), Council Member Victoria E. Jones (City of Lawrenceville Council, Post 2), and Rep. Matt Reeves (Georgia House of Representatives, District 99) were all recognized for their remarkable service and commitment to Gwinnett.
Jay K. Eun. James F. Pack, and William “Bill” Reeves were posthumously awarded the R. Wayne Shackleford Legacy Award, remembering their legacies and contributions to the community.
Gwinnett Chamber staff members Amanda Petrone and Margaret Phillips received Membership Development Manager of the Year awards for their extraordinary contributions and unmatched dedication to driving membership growth in 2024.
Brittany Lowe, Community Engagement Coordinator for Rainbow Village, was named this year’s Ambassador of the Year for her commitment to advocating for connection of businesses in Gwinnett.
Wayne H. Mason was named an Honorary Chairman of the Gwinnett Chamber Board of Directors for his longtime service on the board and his decades of leadership in Gwinnett and the metro Atlanta region.
Nick Masino, President & CEO of the Gwinnett Chamber and Partnership Gwinnett, shared, “We would like to congratulate each one of this year’s honorees and thank them for their invaluable service to our business community.”
The event culminated in the transition of leadership as the gavel was passed from Gwinnett Chamber’s immediate past Chair of the Board of Directors, Lanier Levett with Gregory B. Levett & Sons, to newly appointed 2025 Board Chair Brad Carr with Andersen Tate and Carr. Carr articulated the Chamber’s vision for 2025, emphasizing a commitment to maintaining high standards of excellence and innovation as the Chamber moves ahead.
