Small Business Resource Partner Group named “Partner of the Year”
Gwinnett County (METRO ATLANTA) GA – September 30, 2022 – The Gwinnett Chamber and Gwinnett Small Business Resource Partner Group have received the WBC (Women’s Business Center) Partner of the Year Award at the annual ACE Awards. The resource group, formed in the early stages of the covid pandemic, delivered free consultation and guidance on reopening of the economy, return to work policies, and ever-changing stimulus packages to over 5,500 businesses in the region.
With a community comprised of small business champions, we know the future for entrepreneurs is bright,” said Cally D’Angelo, Vice President of Member Services at the Gwinnett Chamber. “To be recognized in this manner is an honor and designation that we will never forget. We are grateful to serve and appreciate this affirmation of our work.”
Gwinnett Small Business Resource Group comprises partners from the Gwinnett Chamber, Gwinnett County Government, North Metro Atlanta SCORE, UGA Small Business Development Center – Gwinnett Office, and ACE – a community development financial institution serving women, minorities, and those in low-income communities.
Sandra Font, Director of ACE’s Women’s Business Center, added, “[This team] coached, connected, provided loans, grants, tools, and resources to help business owners overcome the struggles of the pandemic…. Now, two-and-a-half years later, that bond that we formed, remains intact as we continue to strengthen Gwinnett’s and Georgia’s business ecosystem.”
