The Gwinnett Chamber recently led a business delegation to the nation’s Capital for its annual Washington D.C. Fly-In, presented by Jackson EMC. The Fly-In organizes business and community leaders to collectively meet with Gwinnett’s Congressional Delegation and hear from policy executives with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. This year’s program also included a private tour of the Washington Nationals Stadium.

Gwinnett’s business leaders and government officials had meaningful conversations with Senior U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff, U.S. Senator Raphael Warnock, U.S. Congresswoman Carolyn Bourdeaux, and a visit from U.S. Congressman Hank Johnson. Discussions centered on transportation and infrastructure funding through the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act along with immigration, workforce, healthcare, inflation, and supply chain challenges. Attendees also heard about the state of our nation’s workforce from Cheryl Oldham, Senior Vice President, Center for Education and Workforce, at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation and received an update on the political landscape from Ashlee Rich Stephenson, Vice President and National Political Director at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
