What inspired you to begin your business?
I am the second generation owner of Foster & Witmer, Inc. My Dad started Foster & Witmer in 1976 to help people who have had trouble with their auto insurance and/or driver’s license status due to too many insurance cancellations, tickets, or accidents. What started as a non-standard auto insurance agency evolved to what we as an agency do today. We help new venture businesses establish their insurance history. We also insure homes that are under renovation or are vacant. We have multiple markets for the home you own that has had several claims. We help people solve their insurance problems. Our motto at Foster & Witmer Insurance Agency is “Big enough to have the markets, small enough to care.”

Who was your first client?
My Dad’s first client was an individual who needed an SR22 filing to get his driver’s license back.

Where did you begin your business?
My Dad started Foster & Witmer out of a house on Clairmont Road, in Chamblee. He lived in the back and worked out of the front. We have evolved into a beautiful office in an office park in Duluth.

What are you most proud of?
I am most proud of the employees of Foster & Witmer. The longevity at Foster & Witmer is impressive with our longest tenure of employment at 30 years! The person you speak to today will likely be the person you speak to in 5 years.
