Lisa Thompson
Describe what you do for your company.: Thompson Hypnotherapy LLC is a partnership founded by Ken and Lisa Thompson. In addition to seeing clients M-F, I also handle the partnerships’s bookkeeping, monitor cash flow and track the partnership’s sales demographics, and, of course, business development.
Describe what your company does.: I help my clients move beyond emotional and physical pain points by harnessing the transformative power of hypnosis. My work focuses on reframing long-standing challenges and guiding individuals to break free from feeling stuck, empowering them to reach goals they never thought possible.
Through the hypnotherapy process, I help clients modify unwanted behaviors, thought patterns, and emotional responses that may have held them back for years, giving the subconscious part of the mind new positive suggestions that when reinforced can literally create permanent changes allowing us to become the person we want to be!
Hypnotherapy provides a pathway for healing and growth, particularly during life transitions as well as weight management, anxiety and depression relief, mood swings, trauma recovery and relationship counseling.
List any of your achievements.: As President of the Duluth Business Association from January 2022 thru June of 2025, I was instrumental in leading the organization post-COVID increasing membership from 25 to 70. The Board I developed during my leadership has picked up the baton and is taking the organization to the next level.
Fun fact about yourself.: I was one of the line dancers in the bar scene in Tyler Perry’s (2008) “The Family That Preys” movie with Kathy Bates and Alfre Woodard.
