Scott Self

Describe what you do for your company.: I am the founder and CEO of SMS-ITC. I handle all of the business components including operations, financial, marketing, sales, networking, client engagement, program management, and quality of service. I do have a CTO that handles technology integration for both the company and our clients. It is my responsibility to steer his talents in a productive manner.

Describe what your company does.: SMS-ITC is a full-service IT company that provides both break/fix or one-time services to clients and a managed service provider. A managed service provider allows for the outsourcing of business IT solutions to clients.  This includes cybersecurity monitoring, help desk service, on-site troubleshooting, consulting, engineering, and device management.  We essentially become a client’s part-time IT department through a monthly subscription.

List any of your achievements.: We are proud to have passed our first year in business in May of 2024. In the first year we have serviced over a dozen small business in Gwinnett and the surrounding counties and one large client in downtown Atlanta. We have also signed on our first MSP client and are excited to be their IT partner for the next three years and beyond.

Fun fact about yourself.: I am a huge Sci-Fi fan and am currently writing a Sci-Fi novel (when my business allows).
