The Gwinnett Chamber recently hosted its third annual Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) Summit presented by Northside Hospital. The SHRM- and HRCI-certified event welcomed 220 business professionals and community leaders at the Gas South District to learn best practices and current trends for creating an inclusive work environment.

Speakers addressed diverse workforce recruitment strategies and cultural competency in the workplace, leading case study discussions to further educate the audience on ways in which they can implement these practices in their own places of work. Panelists included:

·        Antonio D. Robinson, SVP, General Counsel, Secretary and Chief Compliance Officer, Carter’s

·        Camye Mackey, Executive Vice President and Chief People, Diversity, and Inclusion Officer, Atlanta Hawks and State Farm Arena

·        Melissa Kohler Wheeler, Chief People Officer, Luckie & Company

Aisha DeBerry, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Manager for Gas South emceed the program and discussed her approach to corporate diversity strategies in the Chamber’s most recent issue of The Executive.
