The Georgia General Assembly convened this week for legislative days 16 through 18. Legislators will return to the Capitol next week for Legislative Days 19 and 20. Crossover Day, the last day in which a legislation can pass from one chamber to the other to continue being considered, is scheduled for Tuesday, March 15. Sine Die, the last day of session is scheduled for Monday, April 4.

Following this week’s legislation on Gwinnett, SB 369 (Nonpartisan Gwinnett School Board) was passed by the House 95-61 and will head to the Governor’s desk. HB 872 (Gwinnett Board of Education District Maps) was unanimously passed by the Senate on the local calendar and has been sent to the Governor’s desk.
