Yesterday’s runoff election concluded the 2022 primary election cycle where voters decided who will be the party nominee for several races. Voters who chose a republican or democrat ballot during the May 24 primary election could not switch party ballots for the June 21 runoff. Click here to view the runoff election results.

United States Congress

Dr. Rich McCormick won the republican nominee for Congressional District 6 with over 65% of votes. He will face democrat Bob Christian in November.

Voters chose Mark Gonsalves (70%) over Michael Corbin for the republican nominee for Congressional District 7. Mark will face U.S. Representative Lucy McBath and write-in candidate Lisa Babbage in November.

Gwinnett

In the nonpartisan State Court Judge race, Erica Dove received over 60% of votes against Matt Miller.

In the nonpartisan School Board District 4 race, Dr. Adrienne Simmons won with nearly 55% of votes over Dr. Alexis Williams. She will replace Everton Blair, Jr. in January.
